Ahmad Sirhindi

Ahmad Sirhindi (1564–1624) was an Indian Islamic scholar and Naqshbandi Sufi who advocated reform of Muslim religious life under Mughal rule. Known as Mujaddid Alf Sani, he emphasized Islamic law and challenged ideas he considered contrary to prophetic tradition.

Naqshbandi order: A major Sunni Sufi order known for silent remembrance of God and adherence to Islamic law. Sirhindi belonged to this order and reshaped its teaching in Mughal India.
Maktubat-i Imam Rabbani: A collection of Ahmad Sirhindi’s letters on theology, Sufism, religious practice, and political life. The letters are the chief record of how he explained and circulated his reformist teachings.
