Aimé Bonpland

Aimé Bonpland (1773–1858) was a French naturalist and explorer whose South American botanical expeditions with Alexander von Humboldt transformed European knowledge of the region’s plants and geography.

Alexander von Humboldt: Alexander von Humboldt was a Prussian naturalist and explorer whose scientific travels helped establish modern physical geography. Bonpland’s closest expedition partner, Humboldt co-authored accounts of their South American journey.
