Alfred Kroeber

Alfred Kroeber (1876–1960) was an American anthropologist whose research shaped cultural anthropology and documented Indigenous peoples and languages of California.

Franz Boas: A German-born American anthropologist who established historical particularism and trained influential scholars in the United States. Boas supervised Kroeber’s doctoral work and helped establish his approach to anthropology.
