André Le Nôtre
André Le Nôtre (1613–1700) was a French landscape architect whose gardens at Versailles helped define the formal French garden style.
Gardens of Versailles: The formal gardens of the Palace of Versailles, laid out around axes, fountains, parterres, and wooded groves. Le Nôtre’s most extensive and influential garden commission.
