Ba'ath Party

The Ba'ath Party is an Arab nationalist party founded in Syria in 1947. Its branches later governed Iraq and Syria under distinct authoritarian regimes.

Michel Aflaq: A Syrian political thinker and teacher who helped found the Ba'ath Party and shape its ideology. Aflaq was the party's principal theorist and co-founder.
