Ba'athist Iraq

Ba'athist Iraq was the Iraqi state under Ba'ath Party rule from the party’s 1968 return to power until the U.S.-led invasion in 2003. It combined Arab nationalism and one-party rule with Saddam Hussein’s increasingly personalized dictatorship.
