Baldwin I of Jerusalem

Baldwin I was the first king of Jerusalem, reigning from 1100 to 1118. He expanded the Crusader kingdom through military campaigns, diplomacy, and the acquisition of coastal cities.

Siege of Arsuf (1101): A 1101 siege in which Baldwin I captured the coastal city of Arsuf. The capture gave Baldwin a Mediterranean port and strengthened his control of the coast.
