Balkan Peninsula

A peninsula in southeastern Europe whose boundaries vary, especially along its northern edge. It is commonly associated with the Balkans, a region shaped by overlapping geographic, historical, and cultural definitions.

Balkans: A southeastern European region whose extent is defined variously by geography, history, and culture. The regional name overlaps with the peninsula but does not have identical boundaries.
