Bar Kokhba Revolt

The Bar Kokhba Revolt was a major Jewish uprising against Roman rule in Judaea from 132 to 135 or 136 CE, led by Simon bar Kokhba and crushed by Emperor Hadrian’s forces.

Simon bar Kokhba: A Jewish leader who headed the revolt against Roman rule in Judaea in the second century CE. His command and messianic claims helped unite the insurgents.
