Battle of Aegospotami

The Battle of Aegospotami was a Spartan naval victory over Athens in 405 BCE near the Hellespont. Its destruction of the Athenian fleet enabled Sparta to blockade Athens and end the Peloponnesian War.

Lysander: Lysander was a Spartan admiral who commanded the fleet that defeated Athens at Aegospotami. His timing and command turned an exposed Athenian fleet into an easy target.
