Battle of Grunwald

A major battle fought on 15 July 1410 in which the Polish-Lithuanian alliance defeated the Teutonic Order in Prussia, reshaping power in the region.

Battle of Tannenberg (1914): A 1914 German victory over Russian forces on the Eastern Front of World War I. Its name deliberately echoed the 1410 defeat to frame a later German victory as historical revenge.
