Battle of Salsu

The Battle of Salsu was a 612 battle in which Goguryeo forces defeated a Sui army near the Salsu River during the second Sui invasion of Goguryeo.

Sui invasion of Goguryeo: A series of military campaigns launched by the Sui dynasty against Goguryeo from 598 to 614. The battle was the decisive engagement of the second campaign.
Emperor Yang of Sui: The second emperor of the Sui dynasty, who ruled from 604 to 618. He ordered the large-scale campaign that brought the Sui army to Salsu.
