Cat fancy

Cat fancy is the organized culture of breeding, exhibiting, and registering domestic cats. It includes breed standards, pedigrees, cat shows, and associations that set rules for them.

Cat breed: A population of domestic cats distinguished by inherited traits and recognized under a shared name. Cat fancy classifies and exhibits cats through named breeds.
