Chaitanya Mahaprabhu

Chaitanya Mahaprabhu was a 16th-century Bengali Hindu mystic and devotional teacher whose movement centered on devotion to Krishna and congregational chanting.

Bhakti: Hindu devotional practice centered on a loving relationship between a worshipper and a deity. Chaitanya’s teaching belongs to bhakti traditions and made passionate devotion to Krishna central.
Sankirtana: The collective singing or chanting of divine names, especially in the Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition. Chaitanya’s processions and group chanting made sankirtana a public form of devotion.
