Cosmopolitanism

Cosmopolitanism is an outlook that regards all people as members of a shared human community beyond national affiliations. It grounds moral or political concern in humanity rather than citizenship alone.

Moral universalism: The view that moral principles apply to all people, rather than only members of particular groups. It supplies a moral basis for extending concern across national boundaries.
Open borders: A policy position favoring the removal or substantial easing of restrictions on international migration. It tests whether equal human standing warrants wider freedom of movement.
Diogenes of Sinope: An ancient Greek philosopher associated with Cynicism and the claim that he was a citizen of the world. His reported self-description became an early emblem of belonging beyond a city-state.
