David O. Selznick

David O. Selznick (1902–1965) was an American film producer whose credits include Gone with the Wind and Rebecca. He became known for close creative supervision and intensive publicity campaigns.

Gone with the Wind: The 1939 American historical epic film adapted from Margaret Mitchell’s novel and produced by David O. Selznick. Selznick’s signature production became one of Hollywood’s most prominent commercial successes.
