Digital camera

An electronic device that records images by directing light through a lens onto an image sensor, then storing the resulting data as digital files.

Image sensor: A semiconductor device that converts incoming light into electrical signals representing an image. It replaces film as the camera’s light-sensitive recording surface.
Camera lens: An optical assembly that gathers and focuses light to form an image. The lens projects the scene onto the camera’s sensor.
