Edmond de Goncourt

Edmond de Goncourt (1822–1896) was a French novelist, art critic, and diarist who collaborated with his brother Jules and founded the Académie Goncourt.

Jules de Goncourt: Jules de Goncourt (1830–1870) was a French writer who collaborated with his brother Edmond on novels, art criticism, and a shared journal. Edmond’s closest collaborator, Jules co-authored works later published under both brothers’ names.
