Emiliano Zapata

Emiliano Zapata was a Mexican revolutionary who led the Liberation Army of the South and championed land reform, especially the return of communal lands to villages.

Francisco I. Madero: A Mexican politician whose 1910 challenge to Porfirio Díaz helped ignite the Mexican Revolution. Zapata initially supported Madero’s revolt, then broke with him over unmet land-reform demands.
