Emilio Aguinaldo

Emilio Aguinaldo was a Filipino revolutionary leader who led forces against Spanish and later American rule and became the first president of the Philippines.

Philippine Revolution: An 1896–1898 uprising that ended Spanish colonial rule in the Philippines. Aguinaldo became a leading commander during this revolution.
Battle of Imus: An 1896 Filipino victory over Spanish forces in Cavite during the Philippine Revolution. The victory strengthened Aguinaldo’s reputation as a military leader.
