Fast food

Fast food is food prepared for quick service, usually in standardized portions at counter-service or drive-through restaurants.

Assembly line: A production system in which work advances through a sequence of specialized tasks. Fast-food kitchens divide preparation into repeatable steps to serve orders quickly.
White Castle: An American hamburger chain founded in 1921 and known for standardized kitchens and small square burgers. Its early system helped establish the chain restaurant model associated with modern fast food.
