Frame rate

Frame rate is the number of still images displayed or recorded each second, usually expressed in frames per second (fps). It influences motion smoothness, temporal detail, and the demands placed on recording or display systems.

Frames per second: Frames per second is a unit expressing how many images a system captures or displays each second. It is the standard unit used to state frame rate.
