Free Thai Movement

The Free Thai Movement was a clandestine resistance network that opposed Japan’s wartime presence and alliance in Thailand. Its members gathered intelligence, supported the Allies, and prepared for possible resistance while avoiding open conflict.

Seri Thai: The Thai name for the Free Thai Movement, an underground network active during World War II. This name appears in Thai accounts of the movement and its wartime activities.
Japanese invasion of Thailand: Japan’s brief military invasion of Thailand on 8 December 1941, followed by a Thai-Japanese alliance. The invasion and subsequent alliance prompted clandestine opposition.
