Greco-Bactrian Kingdom

A Hellenistic kingdom centered in Bactria, established when its rulers broke away from the Seleucid Empire in the mid-third century BCE. Its Greek-speaking rulers governed a region linking the eastern Hellenistic world with Central and South Asia.
