Pratihara dynasty

The Pratihara dynasty, also called the Gurjara-Pratiharas, was a medieval Indian dynasty that ruled much of northern India from the eighth to eleventh centuries.

Nagabhata I: An early Pratihara ruler who checked Arab expansion into western India in the eighth century. His victories helped establish Pratihara power in western India.
Mihira Bhoja: A ninth-century Pratihara ruler who expanded the dynasty’s influence across northern India. His reign represents the dynasty’s greatest territorial and political strength.
Vatsaraja: An eighth-century Pratihara ruler who expanded the dynasty’s influence and contested power in northern India. His campaigns brought the dynasty into the emerging struggle for Kannauj.
