Ili River

The Ili River flows from northwestern China into southeastern Kazakhstan, where it empties into Lake Balkhash. It is the lake’s largest tributary.

Tekes River: A river rising in the Tian Shan that joins the Kunges River to form the Ili. Its headwaters are one of the two main branches that form the Ili in China.
