Jim Lovell

Jim Lovell is an American astronaut and naval officer who commanded Apollo 13 and flew on Gemini 7, Gemini 12, and Apollo 8.

Apollo 13: The 1970 lunar mission whose crew returned safely after an oxygen-tank explosion crippled the spacecraft. Lovell commanded the mission and helped guide its crew through the emergency.
Apollo Guidance Computer: A digital computer that guided Apollo spacecraft and supported crew interaction through a keypad and display. Apollo crews used it to navigate and control spacecraft during lunar missions.
