Jules Rimet

Jules Rimet was a French football administrator who served as FIFA president from 1921 to 1954. He founded the FIFA World Cup and its original trophy bore his name.

FIFA World Cup: An international football tournament contested by men’s national teams, first held in 1930. Rimet championed the tournament and oversaw its launch in Uruguay.
