Jurchen people

The Jurchens were a Tungusic-speaking people of northeastern Asia, known for founding the Jin dynasty and later forming the basis of the Manchu identity.

Tungusic peoples: A group of peoples of northeastern Asia whose languages belong to the Tungusic language family. The Jurchens are one of the historical peoples associated with this broader linguistic and regional grouping.
Jin dynasty (1115–1234): A dynasty founded by the Jurchens that ruled northern China and parts of northeastern Asia. It was the central state through which Jurchen power expanded and became imperial rule.
