Jürgen Habermas

Jürgen Habermas is a German philosopher and social theorist whose work examines communication, public debate, modernity, and democratic legitimacy.

Communicative action: Social action coordinated through communication oriented toward mutual understanding. This is the central form of interaction in Habermas’s theory of society.
