Kennel Club

A national organization that registers pedigreed dogs and maintains breed standards. The name is used by separate organizations in different countries, including The Kennel Club in the United Kingdom.

Dog breed: A population of domestic dogs with shared traits, typically recognized through a defined standard. Kennel clubs organize registrations and standards around recognized breeds.
