Kyrgyz people

The Kyrgyz are a Turkic-speaking people native primarily to Kyrgyzstan and neighboring parts of Central Asia, with a history shaped by pastoral life and migrations across Inner Asia.

Yenisei Kyrgyz: An early Turkic people associated with the upper Yenisei River and a powerful khaganate in the ninth century. They are among the historical populations most closely associated with Kyrgyz origins.
Kyrgyz language: A Turkic language spoken chiefly in Kyrgyzstan and written today in the Cyrillic alphabet there. It is the principal language associated with Kyrgyz identity.
