New York State Assembly

The New York State Assembly is the lower chamber of New York’s bicameral state legislature. Its members are elected from districts and serve two-year terms.

New York Legislature: New York’s bicameral legislative branch consists of the State Assembly and the State Senate. The Assembly shares lawmaking authority with the Senate within this legislature.
New York Constitution: The foundational legal document governing New York State government and its institutions. It establishes the legislature and sets constitutional limits on state power.
