Oprichnina

The territory, administration, and system of political repression established by Ivan IV in Russia from 1565 to 1572. It combined a separate royal domain with armed agents who confiscated property and punished alleged opponents.

Oprichniki: The armed agents Ivan IV recruited to serve the oprichnina and enforce his authority. They carried out confiscations, executions, and intimidation on behalf of the regime.
