Oromia

Oromia is a regional state in central Ethiopia, inhabited primarily by the Oromo people and administered by its regional government.

Oromo people: A Cushitic-speaking people whose homeland is primarily in Ethiopia and whose members share diverse cultural traditions. Oromo identity is central to the region’s population and political life.
Oromia Regional State Government: The regional institutions that exercise executive, legislative, and administrative authority in Oromia. It administers the regional state within Ethiopia’s federal system.
Oromo migrations: The historical movements of Oromo communities across the Horn of Africa, especially during the sixteenth century. These migrations shaped the distribution of Oromo communities across the region.
