Philipp Melanchthon

Philipp Melanchthon (1497–1560) was a German humanist, theologian, and Protestant reformer who systematized Lutheran doctrine and reshaped education in Reformation-era Germany.

Martin Luther: German theologian whose writings and actions initiated the Protestant Reformation. Melanchthon became Luther’s close collaborator and helped formulate the theology their movement shared.
