Rishon LeZion

Rishon LeZion is a city in central Israel, founded in 1882 as one of the first modern Jewish settlements in the Land of Israel.

First Aliyah: The first major wave of modern Jewish immigration to Ottoman Palestine, beginning in 1881. Rishon LeZion was founded during this wave of immigration.
