Rohingya refugee crisis

The mass displacement of Rohingya people, many of whom fled Myanmar for Bangladesh and other countries, especially during the 2017 military crackdown.

Rohingya: A predominantly Muslim ethnic group whose historic homeland includes Myanmar’s Rakhine State. Their persecution and mass flight define this crisis.
Kutupalong refugee camp: A vast Rohingya refugee settlement in Bangladesh’s Cox’s Bazar district. It became the largest concentration of people displaced by the crisis.
