Samuel Morse

Samuel Morse (1791–1872) was an American painter and inventor who helped develop a practical electric telegraph and the signaling system known as Morse code.

Electric telegraph: A communication system that sends signals over distance using electrical circuits. Morse helped make this technology practical for long-distance communication.
