Santiago Metro

Santiago Metro is the rapid-transit rail system serving Santiago, Chile. Its network connects the city and surrounding municipalities through underground, elevated, and surface lines.

Santiago Metro Line 1: The first and busiest line of Santiago Metro, running east–west across the city. Its central corridor links major employment districts and anchors transfers across the network.
Santiago Metro Line 1 opening: The 1975 inauguration of Santiago Metro’s first section, between San Pablo and La Moneda. This opening established the system’s first urban rail corridor.
