Sega Genesis

The Sega Genesis is a 16-bit home video game console released by Sega in Japan in 1988 and North America in 1989. It was called the Mega Drive in most other regions.

Sonic the Hedgehog: A platform game series starring a fast blue hedgehog, launched by Sega in 1991. The original game became the Genesis’s signature title and Sega’s answer to Mario.
Motorola 68000: A 16/32-bit microprocessor designed by Motorola and used as the Sega Genesis’s main CPU. It handled game logic and gave the system its principal processing power.
