Sigismund III Vasa

Sigismund III Vasa was king of Poland and grand duke of Lithuania from 1587 to 1632, and king of Sweden from 1592 to 1599. His rule joined the Polish–Lithuanian and Swedish dynasties amid wars over the Swedish crown.

House of Vasa: A Swedish royal dynasty that ruled Sweden and, through Sigismund III, the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth. Sigismund inherited claims to Sweden through this dynasty.
