Solubility

Solubility is the maximum amount of a substance that dissolves in a specified solvent under stated conditions, forming a homogeneous solution.

Solvation: Solvation is the process in which solvent molecules surround and interact with dissolved particles. Solvent molecules stabilize separated solute particles, helping determine the saturation limit.
Solution (chemistry): A solution is a homogeneous mixture of two or more substances. Solubility describes the amount of solute present in this type of mixture at its limit.
Solubility product: The solubility product is the equilibrium constant for the dissolution of a sparingly soluble ionic solid. It quantifies equilibrium concentrations for salts whose dissolved amounts are small.
