Stefan the First-Crowned

Stefan the First-Crowned was the first king of Serbia and a ruler of the Nemanjić dynasty from 1196 to 1228. His coronation in 1217 established the Serbian kingdom.

Stefan Nemanja: Stefan Nemanja founded the Nemanjić dynasty and ruled the Serbian principality from 1166 to 1196. His father’s consolidation of Serbian lands prepared the principality Stefan inherited.
