Third Macedonian War

The war fought from 171 to 168 BCE between the Roman Republic and the Macedonian kingdom under Perseus. Rome’s victory at Pydna ended the Antigonid kingdom’s rule over Macedon.

Battle of Pydna: A battle in 168 BCE in which Roman forces defeated the Macedonian army of Perseus. This decisive Roman victory ended the war and broke Macedon’s military power.
