Thomas Henry Huxley

Thomas Henry Huxley (1825–1895) was an English biologist, anatomist, and educator who defended evolutionary theory and promoted science education.

Charles Darwin: An English naturalist whose theory of evolution by natural selection transformed biology. Huxley became one of Darwin’s most prominent public defenders.
Comparative anatomy: The study of anatomical similarities and differences among organisms. Huxley used anatomical comparisons to investigate relationships among vertebrates.
