Thucydides

Thucydides was an ancient Athenian historian and general whose account of the Peloponnesian War shaped critical, evidence-based historical writing.

Peloponnesian War: A protracted conflict between Athens and Sparta and their allies, fought from 431 to 404 BCE. It is the central conflict Thucydides narrated and analyzed.
