Trauma surgery

Trauma surgery is the operative care of injuries caused by physical force. It prioritizes rapid control of life-threatening bleeding and damage while supporting recovery from associated injuries.

Damage control resuscitation: An early resuscitation strategy that limits crystalloid fluids and prioritizes blood products and bleeding control. It complements damage control operations by addressing the physiology of severe hemorrhage.
