Turn-based game

A game in which participants act in sequence, each taking a turn before play passes to another participant. Its pacing contrasts with games that require continuous or simultaneous action.

Turn order: The sequence in which participants take actions during a game. It determines who acts next and can shape the value of each move.
Game rules: The constraints and procedures that define legal actions and outcomes in a game. Rules specify what a turn permits and how its effects are resolved.
