Twenty-fifth Dynasty of Egypt

The Twenty-fifth Dynasty was a line of Kushite rulers who governed Egypt from about 744 to 656 BCE, reunifying much of the country during the Third Intermediate Period.

Piye's conquest of Egypt: Piye's campaign brought much of Egypt under Kushite rule in the eighth century BCE. The conquest established Kushite authority over Egypt and inaugurated the dynasty's rule.
